Client: Province of Ontario, as represented by Ontario Realty Corporation Location: Stoney Creek, ON
In 1999, Ontario Realty Corporation retained Kleinfeldt Consultants to conduct a Phase I Environmental Site Assessment. This project was performed in Stoney Creek, Ontario.
The assessment was done to determine if the subject property contained substances or had a history that may have an environmental impact on the future use of the site.
The building is heated with a natural gas fired hot-water boiler system, but was originally heated with fuel oil from an underground storage tank.
Kleinfeldt's examinations identified what appeared to be a tank fill pipe immediately outside the boiler room wet wall.
Kleinfeldt recommended that the status of the underground storage tank be determined. Kleinfeldt also noted evidence of asbestos in the boiler room.
Based on the information discovered, we found no evidence of significant environmental impairment of the site
