Kleinfeldt’s expertise in determining cause in personal injury occurrences is unparalleled. We continue to assess a high volume of slip-and-fall, trip-and-fall, mis-step, and stair fall occurrences. As with any other type of failure, we assess personal injuries using the Kleinfeldt Process, such that our conclusions will be accurate and defendable.
Personal Injury Assessments differ from other failure assessments as the conditions surrounding the injury are examined. This often results in an assessment of the level of safety where the injury occurred. We first define a reasonable level of safety based on our experience, as well as various codes, standards, and best practices. We then proceed to assess the level of safety as it relates to the subject occurrence, and critically compare it to our defined reasonable level of safety.
As with other assessments of cause, we determine whether the failure related to the personal injury occurrence was due to design, construction, or maintenance. In this manner, we are able to identify contributing factors.
