At Kleinfeldt, Fire Investigations are conducted by Certified Fire and Explosion Investigators, with the National Association of Fire Investigators (following NFPA 921: Guide for Fire & Explosion Investigations). The Certified Fire and Explosion Investigators will respond immediately to investigate fire origin and cause, as well as assess the resulting damage to the structure(s) affected by the fire.

Kleinfeldt’s Certified Fire and Explosion Investigators are trained and experienced in the following areas:

  • Structural Fire Origin and Cause
  • Explosion Origin and Cause
  • Equipment Fire Origin and Cause
  • Industrial Process Fire Origin and Cause
  • Automotive Fire Origin and Cause
  • Fire and Explosion Evidence Storage and Analysis
  • Arson

Following the Kleinfeldt Process, our Certified Fire and Explosion Investigators conduct an assessment of cause. We determine the origin and cause of the fire, and assess the associated smoke and fire damage. Our findings are presented in Origin and Cause Assessment Reports and Damage Assessment Reports, respectively.  Our Structural Department can then design repairs to the structure.
