Kleinfeldt Consulting recently updated our existing services that focus on downtown façade improvement programs and heritage building assessments.
These façade renewal services involve input from our in-house expert team of building science engineers and our associates who specialize in heritage restoration and architecture & are members of the Canadian Association of Heritage Professionals and the Ontario Association of Architects.
Our services for building owners and municipalities provide detailed reports on façade repair, re-facing, masonry re-pointing & cleaning, as well as replacement and/or repair of cornice, parapets, entablature, eaves and other architectural features.
Typically we also inspect and provide recommendations regarding signage, exterior lighting, awnings, marquees and/or canopies.
We also complete a detailed condition assessment of fenestration components including windows & doors, and conduct an inspection of architectural features and identify any elements that may be classified as heritage components.
The report also includes a review of entrance ways and accessibility provisions.
Kleinfeldt can also assist in preparation of specifications, selection of contractors and contract administration.
Our staff includes building scientists, structural engineers and in the past we have done façade condition assessments for municipalities that have included more than 300 buildings.
As a result of our development of a refined methodology to conduct this work, the service is extremely cost-effective. We also have in-house specification writers, designers, AutoCAD technicians and certified on-site inspection personnel.
